MWR Sports at Naval Base Coronado offers a vibrant and competitive environment for the military community.  This free, year-round program is designed to promote physical fitness, team-building, and friendly competition among service members. 

Eligibility and Competition

The intramural sports leagues and tournaments are open to a wide range of participants, including active-duty personnel, their dependents, reservists, retirees, and Department of War (DoW) civilians. 

Throughout the year, teams from Naval Base Coronado compete against other nearby naval bases in the San Diego area, fostering a sense of camaraderie and spirited rivalry. 

A highlight of the program is the annual "Captain's Cup," where commands vie for the title of base champion.
