Children's Waiting Room (NMCSD)
The NMCSD Children's Waiting Room is your place for high quality care and peace of mind while attending appointments at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Care is offered for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age.
Know your child is being well cared for while you are taking care of yourself. All our caregivers go through extensive child development and first aid training. We are here for your peace of mind. Care is offered for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age.
Hourly Care is offered the medical facility and is a priority for as a patient service. Other types of hourly care is available dependent on space availability on a first-come, first-served basis. Non-medical reservations are subject to change. Please see restrictions below:

Online reservations accepted up to 30 days in advance

Proof of medical appointment required to secure priority care

Priority exists for Wounded Warrior medical appointments (proof of medical appointments required to secure priority care).

Care available for a maximum of 5 hours/day
Reserve your child’s space by calling the Children’s Waiting Room.
Hourly Care is $5 per hour (or any part thereof), per child.
*Note: Charges apply for unused reservations and late pick-up.
